Determining the Good Cards for Blackjack Players

Determining the Good Cards for Blackjack Players

Most online casino games guide will tell you that it is always good to keep track of the cards that were already played. However, the only way to make the most of this information is to determine which of the cards would prove to be beneficial to you as a player and which cards would only lead to your downfall. Once you know this basic information then keeping track of cards would easily fall in place and know which cards are still remaining on the deck. A good practice would be to place small bets if the remaining deck proves to be unsatisfactory and a little bigger if you think it’s great.

To start learning which of the cards are good for you and which ones are bad, you should go back to the rules of the game and once you’ve mastered the basics of all basics you should proceed to learning the different playing strategies especially between the player and the dealer and how you should apply the strategies using the house rules. Remember, your best weapon would be to use the same weapon that your opponent wields. This way, it gives you more leverage than if you plan your own strategy.

The natural deal favors a player

More often than not when the cards remaining in the deck consists of aces and tens you will most likely get a natural and this favors you more than anything else. Without discounting the fact that the dealer almost always have the house on its favor and will most likely receive the blackjack, being dealt with a natural gives you a two-card 21 paid at premium. When you have a natural in your hand and the dealer doesn’t, you actually win.

Understanding the safe zone

Casino dealers are playing by following a strict set of rules – that is hit any hand that has a total of 16 or less and bust out hands that are a total of 22 or more. This means that the safe zones would consist of hands that falls a total of 17 up to 21 because then the dealer would have to climb and then stop. Because of the high cards remaining in the deck, the chances of the dealer to reach the safe zone without going beyond the total number of cards are limited. But if the remaining cards are of small value, the dealer might be able to draw the hand. If you know which cards are in the deck – of course by keeping track of all cards at play – you can force the dealer to draw from a deck filled with high value cards.

There are still many things that you have to understand about the game of blackjack especially when you’re still in the process of learning. But once you go past that stage, every piece of the puzzle will gently fall back into their places. The most important thing is you understand how you make the most of the prehistoric trick of “keeping track of the cards” being played.
